Hi,

I have an html module which contains "Welcome [user:firstname]" and it displays "Welcome Peter" when logged in. But when I log out is still displays "Welcome Peter." When logged out, I just want it to display "Welcome".

How would I accomplish this? Thanks.

make sure, caching is set to 0 in module settings. btw: by using "[user:firstname|Welcome {0}| Hi Guest User]" it will display "Welcome Peter" for the registered user and "Hi Guest User" for visitors not logged in.

Thanks Sebastian! You're right on the money! But is it alright to set the caching to 0? This means there will be no caching anymore with the html module. Would this be fine? Just want to confirm.

And If I use this format: "[user:firstname|Welcome {0}| Hi Guest User]", would I still need to set the caching to 0? Or won't it matter anymore because the display text would change everytime I login/logout?

if using TokenReplace with HTML, you need to set output caching of this module to 0, otherwise it will be cached for the next user.
