Hi,
we try to backup one of our sites with DNNBackup, works fine.
Than we try to restore the site on some other server, keeping the directory structure intact, using the Restore pack from DNNBackup.
Looks to be fine, but now, all the links withing text, edited by fckEditor were broken.

I get an error message (404) telling me, that /Portal/LinkClicks.aspx is missing.

Ok, I checked this out, and really, no such file there.

Ok, I checked this out at the original site, but this file is missing, too???????

So I don't understand the world anymore. Please can sombody tell me, whats going on there?
Links to the outer world, like links from our site to wikipedia still working, but links to parts of our sites were broken after backup/restore by DNNBackup. But only links created within fck-editor. Menu entries (which were links too, working fine.

Same is true for images, embedded into the text edited with fck-editor.

The original site could be found at www.compuseum.at

With best regards

Gerhard

Linkclick.aspx is a virtual page implemented by an HTTP handler. please compare both web.config files, there might be an entry missing.

Hi,
but web.config was also part of the backup/restore cycle. DNNBackup can restore a site from scratch, empty root directory and empty database, only copy the restore pack and the backupfiles (zip) to the new location and run this little app.

But I will check, maybe there were som hard coded references isdide web.config.

With best regards

Hi,

found only two lines:

<!-- This is for Serving files, secure, insecure, from database -->

<add verb="*" path="LinkClick.aspx" type="DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.FileServerHandler, DotNetNuke" />

<add name="LinkClickHandler" path="LinkClick.aspx" verb="*" type="DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.FileServerHandler, DotNetNuke" preCondition="integratedMode,runtimeVersionv2.0" />

Nothing which contains some absolute reference which can be brocken after moving.

?????

Thanks

With best regards
