Hi
there is a problem which s driving me crazy.
I have a Website which I used the Local Ip to configur it (lets say IP.xx.cc.vv which is local and not visible from the internet) and after that I added a new Alias (let s say XX.Domain.com )to the portal. the A Name record for the XX.YYYY.com is also correct , which I land on the server .

so now the problem.
When I type the domain name it works and I land on my login page.not after login
everypages in MENU Bar using the old IP-Adress. let s say I have a Page test. it should be
XX.Domain.com/test
but when I click it in menu it goes to
IP.xx.cc.vv/test which is not working from the Internet.

if I type XX.Domain.com/test and not using the mouse click on menues it works fine. the site loaded.
But there is something wrong with the IP Adress and the alias which I can not figure it out.

If I delete the IP ALias in Database, the website does not work at all.
Am I missing something? something in IIS settings maybe? something in A Record?

thanks
Mahmoudreza

What version of DNN is your site running under - it sounds like a portal alias type error.

DNN 5.5
I wrote a code too see what I am getting with request.URI or request.Host, funny thing is that I am getting the IP Adress although the domain name is shown in Explorer. I think the problems is because of this but I have no Idea how could that happend.
