Hi There,

I wonder if anybody could shed any light on a very strange issue I have on my server.

I have a windows 2003/IIS 6 server (not able to up to IIS7 yet I'm afraid)

I have upgraded an older 4.9 ish DNN installation to 5.6.1, upgraded all the IIS settings to .net 4 (so I can use razor) and all is working great!

Last night I upgraded a 5.5 install to 5.6.1, again upgraded all the IIS settings to .net 4, and this site gives me some very bizzare errors....

when I access the site without specifying a file (i.e. www.mysite.com) then any postbacks (like the login button) fail with a 403.1 security error:  Execute Access Forbidden if I access the site like www.mysite.com/default.aspx then everything works as expected.

I thought I had found a workaround by setting up a wildcard application map to the .net4 aspnet_isapi.dll, this means that postbacks to / (i.e. no specific file) work fine, however that causes any mp4 files to throw an error saying the portalalias cannot be found in the database !!??  

Please if you have any ideas at all?  I have checked all the visible IIS settings (as I say I have 1 installation on the same d&*% machine that works) and theres no difference there (both website settings, application pools, file security, web.configs even)

I have had to uninstall the razor module and downgrade the .net settings to v2  so I can get everything to work in the meantime.

If you would like any more info I'm more that happy to provide what I can.
