I'm not too familiar with how DotNetNuke works but I've basically been forced into taking over control of a DNN website.  When trying to add content to my website I get this error: "Could not allocate space for object 'dbo.EventLog'.'PK_EventLogMaster' in database 'SQL2005_XXXXXX_xxxxxxxxxxxx' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full. Create disk space by deleting unneeded files, dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup."

I've deleted large files and some unneeded content from my website and I assumed that would've freed up some space for me but I am still getting that error.  So why isn't this freeing up any space?

I've done some research about this and have noticed that truncating looks like the way to go.  But what exactly does that do?  Will I lose files, content, or webpages by doing that?  Please provide me with any tips I need to be able to update my website again.  Thanks.

most likely, the maximum database size has been reached, please check file sizes in SQL Server Management Studio or DotNetNuke Host menu > Dashboard module.

I am aware that I have reached the limit of the database.  I am just trying to figure out how to make room so I can update my website without purchasing more disk space.

Thank you for that article.  If I run TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}EventLog, will I lose any important files or webpages?  What exactly does that query do?
