Is there a limit to the number of forums or blogs that can be contained in a single instance of a dnn website?

Similarly is there any info as to if any constraints exist on the number of pages etc

Thanks

Miles

You will in the end be constrained by server resources, it just depends on what you are doing as to when you will hit those limits.  There isn't a rule of thumb where after ____ items you will stop working, it will depend.

I have seen sites work with 16,000 portals, and I have seen single portal installations have performance issues, it just depends on your implementation, hardware, module selections, etc.

Any real constraints are based largely on the size of your available computer resources.  These being: how powerful is the computer driving your web server, how much memory does it have, what it processor speed and number of cores, also how powerful is the computer driving your SQL server, how much memory, hard drive storage, processor speed, cores.

It is even possible to run DNN in cloud / web farm type configurations with multiple servers handling each process - so theoretically a single DNN instance is pretty open ended in its possible resource consumption.

Your site Mitch http://www.mitchelsellers.com has the kind of performance I would be happy to have. Could you please give us some data about how many visitors you have and how much hardware you need to get it to work this beautiful and fast? I understand if you cannot give up all data but please throw us some bones :)
