Yes, the new UserAccount module is installed onto a real page and displays the user profile details. 'Show on all pages' modules are displayed until you select 'edit profile' in which case the module goes into edit mode and the common modules are all hidden again.

I take your point about how the 'show on all pages' option is implemented. DNN really could do with a robust and easy to use method for displalying content common to all pages - after all its probably  been a requirement for 99% of websites since day 1.

Thanks again for the responses

The only way around this currently is to have your common elements rendered inside a Skin Object or Skin Widget.  Skin objects are displayed regardless of what page is currently being rendered.

This gets back to the skin object / admin module I built for one of my clients - hmmm maybe its time to revise it to 5.6.1 and release it.
Never did get around to updating it once the 5.x ui design model was introduced.

Hi Wes,

Would be interested to know when/if you release the skin object you mentioned .

Actually been having a bit of a look at it - needs some changes to bring it in line with 5.6.1 - was an older 4.8.x module.  Few things got changed a lot in between -  will let you know how I go with it.
