Hi All,

I'm new to the system and have taken over management of a website that uses DotNetNuke and have come across a problem.

I have created an extra tab on the website and it is behind the search box.

I dont have a clue how to get the box moved and its look unprofessional on the site.

Can anyone suggest how I can move the box without any risk to the website?

I am generally good with things like this but this particular problem has proven a little more difficult.

Thanks

Sashi

Sashi,

To move the search box, you will need to move the skin object code within the skinname.ascx file (skinname being the name of the skin). These can be found in the skins folder, under the directory for your skin. Take a look at the code for the page, specifically the skin.css file for the location of the directory.

The .ascx file is pretty much HTML with a couple of controls in it, so if you understand HTML you'll have no problem. One thing to always do before you make any changes though is to copy the file/s you're changing so you can revert back in the event of an error.

Hope this helps,

Rick.
