Dear Giles,

Thank you for all the help and guidance. I have finally managed to upgrade the store module to ver 2.01.51..
Still running on DNN ver 4.9
I will look at upgrading DNN later as the client is going into an exhibition.

The version compatibility issue that came up was handled as you suggested earlier and has gone thru properly.
The issue of No write access to root was temporarily solved by creating Virtual roots for all Store Module folders with Write access.
So this is another way of doing it, but if something i s to be written to Root then it is not possible.

Store is up and running.

However I ran into one more problem.

After updating store  I saw  that the Product details  Page would come up blank. ( This was working even after upgrade ,
but sudenly blank pages started coming up when individual item was clicked for details.
I didnt know what to do.

So I created a new Product details page (tab) and added a Store Catalog Module on it. and on the Product List page ,
set the Catalog Module to Point to the new ProductDetails page to show Product Details.

This is working now. But I fail to understand what went wrong.

Please advise if there is a solution to this.
You can see the web site at  http://www.modestoffice.com

Thanks & regards
Subhash

Hi Subhash,

It's probably because a setting (detail page?) was lost in the Store Catalog module. Did you try to review and validate your settings?

Gilles

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Dear Giles,

Appreciate your reply.
Normally the Product details Page would be the same as the  one on which catalog is placed.
I had it this way only , but suddenly this stopped and a blank section was returned.
In fact it didnt pick up the ProductDetail.htm ( as per catalog setting, i had) at all

This was running fine but the error happened suddenly.
Hence i was forced to create a new page with the cattalog module on it and pointed the Detail page setting to the new page.
This has solved the problem, but the reason for error is not known.]

Please guide.Any clues.

Thanks & Regards
Subhash
