I have just successfully posted via ftp a large amount of images (gif/jpg) into a New Folder in my Portal Root Folder.

When I go into RadEditor & select the Image Manager I can view the New Folder, but it says that it has no files. This is rubbish as I can see the images in the FTP.

This is not the only time I have experienced this problem: when I save templates, Radeditor confirms that the template is saved but no files appear.

What is causing this problem? - It is driving me nuts and unfortunately I am losing a lot of time trying to figure out. Really appreciate if someone can help me out. Thanks

Miles

Hi Miles

 Have you tried:

Opening the portal file manager and clicking "synchronise" with the recursive option checked?
This will force your DNN install to re-index the files.

 Re Templates:
In Host settings (Other Settings) have you checked that the template file type is an allowed type?

 Re Telerik Editor
You can make life a little easier by using the DNNWERK editor provider which comes with a control module which provides a really useful way to configure the editor across your site. http://radeditor.codeplex.com/

I hope this helps resolve what must be a very frustrating issue.

Thanks Ian

I tried the sync option u suggestd - no success. :(

Re Templates:

A: Yes, but do I have the right file extension? I have used  "htmtemplate" as the file type per the template uplate tends to suggest- is that the correct format?

Re Telerik Editor
Thanks for sharing that - can definitely see the benefits; get annoyed waiting around for current editor to upload. Will be a question of finding the time to install & test - another to add to that long task list. :(
