Hi,

i'am using DotNetNuke Community Edition 05.05.01 (22) with 5 languages (en, de, it, fr, es). The system default language is english, the site default is german und the fallback language for german is system default (so english).

My problem is, that some users going to the site without any querystring or other things (just the home-site) and site appears in english and not german. This problem occurs not all time, but sometimes and the only solution (i think) is to change the system default but it's only a constant in the localization class.

Are there any ideas to this problem?

Thanks & Regards,
Patrick

Registered users get the site displayed in the preferred language from their user profile. unauthenticated users will get the language according to their matching browser preferences, otherwise portal default language is used.

Hi Sebastian,

yes i know, but there are only unauthenticated users and i think in some cases the portal default language (german) cannot be accessed or something like this and fallback to english (the system default).

Can I change the system default language to german?
