hi. Looking for understanding on why DNN wants to use role management outside of the standard aspnet roles / users in roles providers? I can see in the roles table that there was a desire to extend the role for fees, public, billing etc... but why would you want to dictate your role their vs in the standard aspnet membership? Wouldn't it have been just as easy to introduce a trigger to your aspnet_roles to create a new extended role line in the custom area? This way the user would be able to work with the hugely awesome membership and authentication providers out of the box. Same questions lie under the 'profile' and 'RoleGroups' . I am sure there was some logic in going this route and interested in understanding why. WOuld also be interested in understanding how you can work with this when creating the custom modules.
