Hello,

I would like to understand few things.

When I deploy DNN for the first time, a default portal is created. Is there a way to set a skin for the admin/host different from the skin the normal user would see? More illustration please.

Thanks

Bilal, you may specify a skin per page, but not per user. However, as your skin is an aspx control, it may behave differently, according to role membership.

Hello Sebastian,

Maybe I'm missing the idea here. When we apply a skin do we apply it for admin/host/{rest of users} ?

When I hit the "Skins" section with "Admin" account, I find the following:

Apply To:   Portal   Admin

Skins
This set of skins cannot be deleted because it is being used

admin

Preview  |  Apply

------------------------------------------------------------------

home

Preview  |  Apply

What does it mean "Apply to Portal / Admin"?

Also, what does it mean "Admin -- Preview/Apply" and "Home --- Preview/Apply"?

Thank you
Regards

"Admin" in this context means applied to edit controls of a module, e.g. when displaying editor for HTML module. Preview simply displays, how the page would look like, if you persist your change.

When I don't select Apply to: "Admin", page is posted back and then both "Admin" "Portal" are selected back again! Any wrong with this? As for "Preview simply displays, how the page would look like, if you persist your change". More details please? Thanks
