I am aware that DNN runs in many different environments,
I am trying to install DNN 5.6.1 on a shared hosting platform (SQL 2005)
9.00.4035.00  SP3  Enterprise Edition

I have copied and unpacked DNN, created a virtual web directory pointing to the files and tried to call it,

I get System OutOfMemoryException

I can find little on prerequisites for shared hosting or what I need to do to get it set up, the exception implies that the asp.net does not provide enough memory, but there is nothing in superuser manual or in the forums on what actually is the prerequisite for this version.  should I be using .net 2.0 or 4.0 (there are plenty of supplementary questions to people saying they have problems but no hard and fast info).

Would be grateful for info so I can go back to my hosting provider to ensure that I have the correct settings.
Thanks
