OK, can anyone recommend a good VPS hosting company, that is not too expensive, has basic management (patches and upgrades), and includes MSSQL 2000, a firewall, .Net, virus and spam protection?  I have spent 2 days looking, and have mostly Linux VPS.  The few Windows VPS hosts either were very expensive for what you get, or did not seem to have much to offer.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Did you try to contact them to inform them of this issue.  I also have tried to access some of the other database when I user Enterprise manager to it would not let me access them.  Maybe a setting got changed and they are not aware of it.  Even if you do leave, you should at least let them know about the issue.

Hey Croxton,
Shoot an email to me at Sales@PowerDNN.com and let me know what you're looking for.  We don't do VPS but we are starting up a dedicated server farm.  There have been a couple people who have posted around on different forums who have been quite happy with our offerings on the dedicated front (there's nothing on our web site about it yet).

Anyway, I hope to hear from you.

I made several "successful" correspondence with WH4L tech support (both by help-desk and phone), each promising to remedy each of the vulnerabilities I discovered. This took place over a 3 week time period. Fortunately one security hole granted me access to Roles that allowed me to lock down my DB's.

In short they where alerted to the list of issues and I made it clear that I would be leaving if this where not addressed by "x" date, to which I got no response.

I work for webhost4life and I highly doubt that can happen.  We uses the same installation image to setup all of our sql server. If  we have such problem, all sql servers will have the same problem.   You can see other customer's db when they have Guess permission.  As for sql2005, you'll be able to see everyone's db, but you certainly will not beable to peak into it.

You can get intouch with me if you have db concerns by email erwinyu@webhost4life.com as I don't check this forum frequently.
