I have a site with a black background and need to change the colors of the Search Results from black to some other color so it will show up. Is this in the default.css, portal.css, or skin.css file and what's the name?

I certainly don't want to alter anything but the search results color :)

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve, if you really only want to change items in the search results, just add the following to your skin.css:
.ModSearchResultsC .Normal /*formats first line message and all description text*/
.ModSearchResultsC a.SubHead /*formats link title in each result*/
.ModSearchResultsC .SubHead /*formats order number for results*/
.ModSearchResultsC a.CommandButton /*formats result page link*/

This should be enough.
My best,

Beatriz,

Wow! You saved me. Thank you so much. Exactly what I needed. Now one more question - is there a place where I can download a whole list of CSS commands like the ones you just shared?

I also need to change the text in the login page as my "User Name:" and "Login:" fields are black as well.

Thanks so much!

Steve

Steve, as far as I know there is no place providing this kind of extensive CSS listing.

To change login text, styles actually depend on what you wrote on your token in the ascx file.
Take this token as an example, where class defined for login is .LOGIN_object:
<dnn:LOGIN runat="server" id="dnnLOGIN" CssClass="LOGIN_object" />

Styles to be added to CSS are:
.LOGIN_object
a.LOGIN_object:link
a.LOGIN_object:active
a.LOGIN_object:visited
a.LOGIN_object:hover

Let me know if you have other questions.
My best,

Thanks again Beatriz! Another one please. I need to change the text on the Registration Page.

User Registration shows up in white as it should, but the text directly below it needs to be changed:

*Note: Membership to this portal is Public. Once your account information has been submitted, you will be immediately granted access to the portal environment. All fields marked with a red arrow are required. - (Note: - Registration may take several seconds. Once you click the Register button please wait until the system responds.)

Do you have the CSS for that please?

Steve
