I have a new install of DNN. I've set up Host and Site Settings and I'm trying to set up the login page to use only ActiveDirectory accounts. Unfortunately I can't seem to find the Authentication option under Admin.  Every tutorial says that it belongs there but I can't find it.

I believe this has been moved in DNN 5. Go to the ADMIN/Extensions page and click on the EDIT pencil next to the authentication provider you want to utilize.

Thanks. Found it. Right now I have AD working in the Extensions tab. however, I'm unable to get the front login page to accept my AD credentials. Is this something that DNN handles or does IIS need to get involved?

I've got IIS7 running in Integrated Mode and while going directly to WindowsSignin.aspx and getting the login screen, it doesn't accept my AD credentials. I've tried multiple AD accounts and none work.

When I disabled Anonymous Authentication and enabled Windows Authentication on WindowsSignin.aspx, it shows an alert that says, "Challenge-based and login redirected-based authentication cannot be used simultaneously." This is likely because Forms Authentication is enabled for the whole site (since it "has been locked and is read only").

Currently you need to run the provider under the Classic pipeline. Checked the pinned posts at the top of the forum regarding the provider and Server 2008 (Windows 7 works the same).
