So am I the only one with this problem?

The first time I started using the Text\HTML module, I noticed that there was no edit table feature. Then I found that the WAS a button for this in the online help page. I can't find anything in the bug reports about this.

Does anyone else no anything?

I installed on a 2003 server platform and use a typical IE 6.0 browser from multiple locations with the same result. The button is simply not there next to the "Insert Table Icon". This is kind of a pain since you have to wade through the html (which is poorly formatted in that window anyway).

Did I miss something?

Thanks,

If you right click in the table do you get the edit table or Table Properties selection as well as many other editing options for the table?  I'm using the FCKEditor module and the right click gives these options, but I'm not sure about the default editor that came with DNN.  FCKEditor is free if you want to add it.

My understanding of the FreeTextBox control is that the toolbars displayed are actually a function of the source used to build the FTB control. Source code for the control is included in the source download, and I would highly recommend taking a look at this source and becoming more familiar with its impact on the control.

I have examined the code myself and rebuilt the control a few times to avoid annoying popups when using SSL. You can check out my blog entry for that here. It might help you get a start on things.

Hi,

Thanks, I was actually headed in the direction of FCKeditor as a solution. Can you answer a few Qs about installing that? I went to the site and dowloaded the 2.3 beta and the .net control. Somewhere I was pointed to the DNN related installation procedure by Mauricio. The file structure from the Zip file and folder paths are not matching the instructions and the installation doc is labelled DNN3.

Do you have DNN 4.X and\or do you have an installation procedure. Anyone?

Thanks,

Sandy

Um, I think you are over-estimating my skill level. Although your reply is impressive, it flew miles over my head. Can you suggest something more understandable? If not, thanks for replying anyway. I am actually trying to figure out how to use the FCKeditor. Opinion?

Sandy
