Hi,

My client has been loading user records into his site and for some reason has chosen to erase all users and start again on a couple of occasions.

For the most part, everything has worked fine, but for one specific user, my client can't once more add the user account. The site says that a user with the same username exists.

The problem is that the user list currently only listed 3 users, and the user account that is causing trouble isn't one of them.

Looking in the database, it seems as though none of the user records have been erased, in "Users" I can see several versions of each user, and the "IsDeleted" flag has not be set to true.

In "PortalUsers" I can see a record for each user in the "Users" database, but these have been set so that "IsDeleted" is True.

What could be precluding a user account from being made, if the User List doesn't think that the given user is already registered?

Cheers,

Mark

If you update to 5.6.2 you can hard delete a user straight from DNN without having to go into the database.
