Hello Everybody,

After DNN 4, I am running DNN 5.06.02. Installation was fine. Host setup correctly!
I can create portals! BUT I CANNOT see them! As sson as I put the URL in the browser, I get following Message:

Forbidden
You do not have permission to access this document.

I host my domain physically on a remote server, and I manage all the IIS user rights via PLESK! I don't think it is a user right problem on IIS side, as I could install correctly DNN 5.

I did this:
Add New portal--> Parent-->I gave an alias name-->I customize the home directory-->Edit Title.
The home directory was created, but no *.aspx  page inside, only images and css!
When I put in the browser, the URL, I get the 403 Error.
Am I doing something wrong? Why DNN 5 has no Default.aspx in the portal directory for each portal? But only  one Defalt.aspx in the main installation root?
Is that right?

Any help?

Thank you very much.

Giuseppe

please be aware, that additional domain addresses may bee needed to be added as host headers to the IIS web site binding as well (unless you are using default web site for the IP address)

Hello,

My Host Service provider, told me that as soon as I point the domain to the installation roo t of DNN, DNN would resolve it. So non need to add any IP adresses. Thats their point of view.

I created a Parent Portal with alias : www.polydoxa.com
It dosen't redirect to the directory of the parent Portal. But it redirects to the main installation. The subfolder, where the parent portal should be created is : http://testdnn5.dnnhst.com/testparent/
Which, actually exist on the Webserver. But I get the "ERROR 403 FORBIDDEN"!

Child portals are working fine.

Thank you

Giuseppe
