Hi there,
is it possible to have a still image in the media module that when clicked plays an associated MP3 file? (i.e an album cover and track).

Best regards,

Alan

The Media Module only supports adding a single media item to the page at a time. However, there are ways around this. For example, you can include HTML mark-up in the Header or Footer settings of the Module Settings that would allow you to add literally any HTML-based content that you want either below or above the media itself.

Also, depending on the containers that your current skin has, you can have two media modules on top of each other in the same content pane, giving the same effect.

 Hi Will,
I found this a bit confusing.  I added an MP3 without dimensions and had nothing showing.
I would consider changing the help text to include the need for dimensions for mp3's as well.
You may also consider setting default dimensions and letting users change them.

I also think adding the ability to add an initial image for non image media would be a great addition.

Thanks for the module!!

Not all MP3's would require dimensions. It depends on what player is the default for the computer that is viewing your website.  Some will require dimensions, but most will not.  I believe that simply saying that they're required would be a worse usability scenario at this time.

I don't really understand your feedback about non-image media images.  Can you give me more details?

I agree "required" would be incorrect but since as happened to me, you can set everything up, save and then see nothing, some guidance or again a default may help.

So regarding the playbutton, Here are some quick examples from an image search for mp3 icon.
Not necessarily my choices just examples.  I could see an album cover as a button, or a small Audio button.

One more bit of coolness would be to add the ability to link multiple items and have them displayed based on an html Template.
I know this may be beyond the scope of this module.
