I'm setting up a new site on a new host, new server but keeping the domain name pointed to the old server until the new site is done.

The new dnn install is only available at the moment via a preview DNS name (ie "www.mydomain.com.previewdns.com/dnn")

I assume there's some way in the DNN install to tell it to temporarily append that ".previewdns.com" to all the page and link names so that I can build without errors? Almost everything right now is throwing an error because DNN is looking to just the domain name, which still points to the old server.

I've searched and seem to be missing the answer to this one.

you need to add new address as additional entry to portalalias table

Are there additional steps, though? This is the first place I tried, but it's not doing anything.

Right now I have www.mydomain.com/dnn and www.mydomain.com.previewdns.com/dnn both in my aliases.

If I go to edit a page's settings, I get a 404 when I update that page because it can't find www.mydomain.com/dnn/pagename.aspx and the current server has the previewdns.com in its URL. The settings seem to take, but the redirect to display that page afterwards after updating settings goes to the wrong URL.

Perhaps there are additional steps I'm not taking?
