Hi,

For one of my clients, using the following setup:

Windows 2008 Standard SP1
SQL 2005
DNN 5.6.1

The Administrator was using one IE 7/8 Browser, user didn't get back to me which of these 2, with a few tabs. However, only tab was accessing the Website.

She was manually registering her users via the DNN Registration. After creating one of the users, weirdly the email stating the random password was sent to another user, which was created before the current one. But the Administrator did not use the back button to do registration. My client wants to know why such an incident took place.

To my client, which is government related, takes such occurences as a security breach and unfortunately we, the vendor, was not able to explain the situation and I decided to seek some advice from DNN Forums.

Please let me know if you have any questions with regards to the scenario above.

Thanks.

Regards,
Christopher

AFAIR this has never been reported before, but for security reasons, I would upgrade to DNN 5.6.2 and retry.
