Hi.

In using DNN with the standard asp.net membership provider (AspNetSqlMembershipProvider), I see that only one entry is created for each user regardless how many portals that user is a member of.

Say I have two portals on one DNN instance, and these portals are totally and conceptually disjoint.  User1 registers on Portal1, then User1 registers on Portal2.  If User1 changes their password on Portal1, this change is reflected on Portal2.  I want this to not happen.

Is there some simple way to have DNN create additional applications in the aspnet_Applications table, one for each portal?

There isn't a way to do this in DNN. If the user registers on multiple portals, and uses the EXACT same password, they are associated with the same user account. If they try to register with a different password, DNN will tell them that the username is already in use.

Only way around this would be to have separate DNN installations.
