We are using Events module 5.1.5 on our DNN Community 5.6.1 site.  If a visitor views the details of an event and clicks o the "Login to enroll..." link.  DNN displays our splash screen instead of the Login page.  If the visitor is already logged-in, things work as expected.  When hovering over the link, the  "__doPostBack" link is the same regardless of the login status.

I did a quick test on 5.6.1 test environment. I created a splash page and set it in admin settings. The tried clicking 'Login to Enroll' on an event, and it took me to the login page. I also created a dedicated logn page, and set it in admin settings. Clicking the link to me to the dedicated login page.

If you can expand on how your site is configured I'll try to duplicate your environment to identify the issue.

I think that the site is fairly straightforward.  DNN Community 5.6.1 running on IIS 7.5 in development, and IIS 7 on our club host.  SQL Server 2005 database.  You can view the production site at: hur.pca.org - the development site is on my server at hur5.rmsanswers.com
