Hello All,

I have a website for Sailing that wishes to publish jobs both wanted and seeking.  We also have a need to publish sailing crew wanted and people willing to crew for others.

I am curious what would be the best module to use for this.  I would use my nice and easy to use Ventrian News Module, I could use form and list (have not yet had a chance to explore that), or I could use one of the forum modules.

We want to allow people to post their own work.

Any suggestions or comments are welcome

thanks for your time

You could definitely use the F&L module for this, a lot of people use Ventrian's Property Agent for classified type postings as well.

I've used Ventrian PA to create Classifieds, Jobs Listings, Real Estate Listings, Autos, Obituaries.

My future endeavor is to provide a PA module for employers to locate employees in tangent with my PA Job Listings Module. Job Seekers can post an online resume and other information that is of interest to employers that use my Job Listings.

PA also has a contact form already built into it along with designation of emails to admins, moderators, the publisher, etc. You can also template it pretty easily, and has options for custom fields with an extensive permissions set. If you are already familiar with NA, it doesn't take long to catch on to PA, so there would be a minimal learning curve.

Guess you could see I would recommend PA.

Hello Chris and Jeff,

thanks a lot for the help, it is great.  I have to say that when I saw the mentions of Ventrian's Property Agent, I said 'Grrrrr'.

I love Ventrian software, so quick and easy to use, and such incredible good value.  I had it up and running 30 minutes later, with a full system advertising Crew and no mention anywhere of Property - it is great.  My customer is delight and we now have plans for a bunch of other features on the site.

Once again, thanks for your time,

Mark

I would go with either PA from Ventrian or Forms an Lists module.
