I used to utilize the PostGet(int, int) method within the PostController class found within the DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.dll.  Now this method is privately scoped.  Other methods that I used to use are now internally scoped.  What public methods can I utilize within the API in order to Get and Save Forum posts programatically from another module?

All posting is to be added via the PostConnector class. The change in scope was done to ensure all posts are added via this section (which is now serving as its API for posting and is even used by the module itself). The primary reason for this is it serves as a central point for thread creation (when necessary) in addition to doing all necessary validation. The method to submit a post from a module is named SumitExternalPost. For full details on this method, you can view the online code documentation (direct link to this class): http://docs.dnnforums.com/html/30c5db...

As for the PostGet method, I had never intended for this to be used directly and really had no idea anyone was using it (in this manner). However, thread data can be retrieved (via SearchController, although this might not be that helpful to you). Honestly, since the module is EOL it is unlikely that I will be making any changes here in the future.
