In module settings, there's a "Display Module On All Pages?" tickbox.
This creates a reference of that module and displays it on all pages. modifying one instance of that module will apply on all pages.

Now here's my problem, we need to modify those modules on just a few pages only. Is there a way to tag it as a new copy on certain pages only so that I could modify the module instance on those pages only?

We have a lot of pages, and manually recreating the module is not feasible right now. I've read in DNNCreative that it could somehow be done via SQL. I just don't have a subscription in DNNCreative.

I was just wondering if someone knows how to do it. Thanks.

Unfortunately, the answer is "It depends."

It depends upon the module that you want to copy.  Some work the way I'll describe (html does, for example), some don't.

When you "add" a module to a page manually, you can reference another module.  There is a check box that allows you to make a copy of that referenced module instead of a pointer.   That's what you want to do on the two or so pages that need this, in order to get a copy that you can modify.

Of course, that still leaves you with the problem of the original module still showing on the page...
I can't help you there...
