DNN Newbie here. Having good success on the site, but this one has be stumped (and I've check books, Google, DNN forums, DNN manual, etc.).

I want to have a Google Adsense banner ad in the masthead above the menu bar (to the right of the logo). I've created the vendor, created the banner ad entry (banner ad displays fine on that page, it's a script-type) but I cannot get it to display on any of the pages (the page template). I have gone into Site Settings and tried "None," "Site" and "Host". I've tried changing the banner group to "Site", "Site Banners" and my own group name. I cannot just add a Banner Module because I can't see where you can added it except in the body below the menu bar.

The documentation seems to imply thatyyou just create a vendor, add a banner, check Site Settings Banner to "Site" and it will just appear. Not so. What group of banners gets displayed when set to "Site", Where would they be displayed? (I'm using the standard skin that comes with the Community version).

Any help out there?

I don't believe that the default skin in DotNetNuke has placement for banners in it anymore. You would need to either modify the skin, or find another skin that supports banners.

Thanks Chris.

I went in and edited the skin to display it and all's well (until I change skins), but at least I understand a lot more than I did this morning!
