Hi,

I have just installed the DNN Community version and it seems that when I login as host, I do not get a menu of options to install a module when I go to Module Definitions.

I guess this is because they want you to buy the premium version.

My questions is, is this the case and if so which version do I have to buy so that I can can add modules?

Otherwise what do I have to switch on to enable this function?

Thanks
Sean

The Community Edition exposes the same module/extensions installer as do the Professional Edition.

When logged in as host user you may either navigate to Host --> Module Definitions or preferably Host --> Extensions.

In the action context menu (which appears when hovering over the little triangle to the left of the title Module Definitions or Extensions) you will find the following commands:

1. For Host --> Module Definitions click on "install Module" to upload and install a module package (zip file).

2. For Host --> Extensions click on "Install Extension Wizard" to upload and install an extension (modules are one type of extension) or click on "Install Available Extensions" to select and install one or more modules or other extensions already included in the DotNetNuke package.

If you do not find any of the above options it is likely that your installation of the DotNetNuke framework did not complete successfully.

Hi Sean, switch to Edit mode, you won't see the drop down menu in View mode ... we've all been there.
