I want to have a page where anonymous visitors can edit the content of an HTML module. This is becuase i want to demostrate to potential clients how the DNN system works.

Is this possible?

I dont want to set the page permission to edit for anonymous users. So i set the individual modules permission to edit for anonymous. But i get a weird result.
The modules do not become editable for anonymous users (who ofcourse are not logged in). BUt what does happen is that the Control Panel Bar becomes visible, but not expanded. It has radiobuttons for View and Edit (Not Layout) but nothin else. Switching between edit and view does nothing.

Could anyone try and reproduce this maybe and tell me if you get the same reults? Is my idea not plausible in DNN? Does anyone know a workaround?

THANKS!

I tried to give edit rights to "All users" and then logged out. I got the same results as you. This is in DNN 5.6.2.

Givingaway edit rights to unauthenticated users is risky i believe. So, why not creating a video for demonstration purposes?

Surely the fundamental issue is that this should work - for example, maybe, setting up an open sandbox on an intranet (so it's as if the whole world can come an put whatever they want on there) that is reset every night?

A movie could do the trick but as the previous poster said, its more about that it should work..

And now its very much about the fact that i cannot get the control panel to dissapear from the page even if anonymous users dont have any permissions!!!
You can see it here (temporary link)
