Hello,

I created a custom login page and when the user logs in, I need to set the language to use (based on some business rules) in the code-behind. I've been diggin around, but I cannot find how to do this thru dnn. I tried this but with no luck...

Localization.SetThreadCultures(..)

Thanks!

let me rephrase. i have a file with users i am loading into dnn. in that file, i need to set their locale/culture. as a quick test, i updated one of the users from code using the following:

user.Profile.PreferredLocale = "en-GB"
DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController.UpdateUser(PortalId, user);

and when i redirected to another page, checked the Thread's current culture it was still the sites default (english).

What am I missing here? Also, I might be using the EALo module for the menu and text modules.

Thanks!

you might need to check currentThread.currentUICulture instead.
