Is there an easy way to disable external access to the admin.aspx page from the Internet?  I only want to give access to the console to computers that are part of our LAN.

Thanks for any help.

Hrmmm I'm not sure how you would go about doing this.

The first thing that comes to mind would be a quick custom module that looked at the IP address of the user and redirected them elsewhere if they weren't a local IP. You would need to put that on all the ADMIN pages though, and also make sure no one added any of those admin modules to any other pages.

That doesn't sound like the bestest of solutions.....

I'm surprised there isn't just a simple click in the Host module that allows or disallows it.  Is this simply a Community Edition issue or is it that way in the Professional as well?  Seems like an awfully big security hole with how many tools are put there for hacking passwords.

This is just the way DotNetNuke is designed. It is designed to allow you to manage it from a web browser anywhere in the world.

So I assume it is the same in both the Community and Pro versions?
