Hi All,
I'm thinking of using Facebook comments to replace the DNN Blog comment system to get more exposure on Facebook.

I think I got it working using the code the Facebook Developers page provides, by adding the code at the bottom of the blog's HTML, however I do cut the <script>..</script> part (since it gets deleted if I leave it in the HTML) and put the script code in the module footer. This appears to be working just fine.

I haven't seen any sites yet using Facebook Comments as the primary comments infrastructure and before I implemented it, I figured asking your opinion, since there might very well be a very good reason why not so many people integrate facebook comments on blogs, that I just didn't notice.

One thing I can think of is the lack of a comment counter, however I did see a site that explains how to create a Facebook Comments counter. I'm not a coder however, so not much use to me (and it was PHP I think). Anybody any suggestions on that?

Thanks!

I use it on SCCAForums.com though I haven't done much with comment counters yet

I have a blog post on using it with Razor to limit the display to only when the details view of DNNSimpleArticle is showing

Hi Chris,

thanks for the reply.

I read your article on Razorhost, however I'm almost sure I don't need it, since it seems to work just fine with the standard DNN blog module.

Should you happen to dive into Facebook comment counters, I'd love to hear about it!
