One of the seemingly magical features of DNN is the Portal (site) Export and Import functionality, especially the "with Content" option.  What a time-saver, and occasionally a sanity-saver...

I recently purchased a 3rd-party module on SnowCovered, dnnPhotoGallery.  After learning and liking its elegant simplicity, I discovered there is no way (easy way, anyway) to transport one's gallery info (work...) from one portal (like test...) to another portal (like production).  Though the module still works fine, it was developed in ~2006 and per the developer the 'standard' for module/content transport wasn't known then.

My question is...  Is this something a user can make happen?  

The developer is overseas and out of touch, both physically and with the module code.  The database is straightforward and the module file structure very disciplined.  Is there an easy way to take an extract data from a table [in Excel, say] and then tuck it back (with or without a tweak...)??  I could even make a straight export/import or table copy work but I'm lacking skills and courage, and big $$.

Thanks in advance.  This is not urgent, just a nagging thorn...
