Dear Israel

So will the RC be able to upgrade to a stable version of DNN 6.0?

As i understand it the current CTP's and Beta are not able to upgrade from one to the other. Can you please confirm this?

Just to be clear:

With Beta 1, you can upgrade a previous version of DNN like 5.x to the Beta to see how your site will upgrade (remember to never run Betas, RCs or CTPs on live sites, test on offline sandbox type set ups).

You CANNOT upgrade from Beta 1 or RC1 to the final DNN 6.0 release. We DO NOT support this.

Just want to be very clear, I might have mis-read Vineet's question.

Thanks

Jogi

I upgraded v5.4.4 to v6.0.0 Beta 1 with no issues.
I took a while because of replacing all the .vb with the .cs files.

After the upgrade everything and every new aspect (as far as I look into it) worked good.

Regards,
Ely

Thanks Ely! I am hoping everyone has the same experience. In addition to the usual battery of upgrades we do from previous DotNetNuke versions (simple vanilla installs), we also are running against more and more real world sites. Upgrades are particularly critical for us so the more feedback we get in advance, the better.

Thanks again,

Jogi
