I have seen viewstate issues in the logs of one particular installation that have been like that for a while.  Today I noticed that in the scheduler within a scheduled items details, two servers are showing up in the "run on server"  They are actually the same server but maybe different app pools?  Not sure what that is but webfarm is not enabled in the host settings.  See the picture at the link below for the example, but this is on every item in the scheduler whether the shedule is enabled or not.

Sounds like your app pool needs to be configured so there isn't a web garden enabled (more than one worker process). This will cause issues with DNN. Also make sure you don't have two IIS sites pointing to the same web root directory and database.

I am told by support that:

"This is because you are running in a mixed 64-/32-bit environment. What appears to be two different app pools is actually two different execution contexts for 64- and 32-bit code, respectively. This is normal."

Whats strange to me is that I have two other accounts there in the same environment but neither of those DNN installations have any viewstate errors in the logs, nor do they show multiple servers in the scheduler's scheduled tasks.
