I am trying to insert this on a gaming website I am working on however this code only works when I place it in header or footer of a module.

Any reason for this? THank you.

By default the HTML editor strips out script code - this is a by design thing to prevent end users injecting potentially malicious or problematic code into a site.  If you are using dnn 5.6.3 you could look at switching over to the http://radeditor.codeplex.com/ provider it has a way to more easily add settings to the editor config file - one of which settings is allowscripts.

Alternatively - wait a couple of days for dnn600 which has that functionality and a whole lot of other cool features built in by default.

If I remember correctly, you should insert this into the skin.ascx file.

Good deal thanks for the help I will see if this works out and get back to you. I am now running 6 with radeditor. I will see if somehow I can add this into skin. I suppose if I was going to allow scripts for anyone I would just want it for the administrators if it has privilege levels for use.
