I just upgraded from 05.06.00 to 06.00.00 and I think am having the same issue. When I login as admin or host, there are not Host or Admin Menus and I also do not see the control panel at the top. It is as if I have logged in as a regular DNN user.

Have you heard anything from from anyone on this?

Thanks,

David

Hi David, I have not heard anything from anyone. I do not think we have the same issue.
I have both Admin and Host menus on top right (not in the menu).

My problem is that after I make a selection in either the Admin, or the Host menu - I only get a blank page. There is no errors/exceptions logget to the eventlog table for this.
I suspect there must be something in regards to DNN6 and rendering - and that the issue is because something is missing from web.config etc.
But I have not had the time to investigate furter because of my holidays ;=)

Will get back if I solve this - on the menu for next week - all ideas/comments appreciated.

Hi Audun and David,

There are a numbers of issues surrounding the DNN 6 upgrade.

First and foremost, it is recommended that you follow the upgrade path to DNN 5.6.3 before upgrading to DNN 6, see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Suggested_Upgrade_Path.aspx, so if applicable you might want to roll back and start again.

Here are some links to other forum posts concerning the main issues:
  • Duplicate skins (third post) http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Forums/forumid/190/postid/424459/scope/posts.aspx

  • Z-Index issue http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Forums/forumid/200/threadid/424355/scope/posts/threadpage/1.aspx

  • New HTML Editor Manager issue http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Forums/forumid/108/postid/424745/scope/posts.aspx#424745
Hopefully, this may help you both in some respect.
