Testing the upgrade from 5.6.3 to 6.0.0 on localhost.

A few issues:

1.  Unable to manage module settings - I get a 'dnnModal' is undefined error

2.  When logged on as host, along the top, I see Host - Modules - Pages - Tools.  I don't see Admin - is this by design?

Also noticing some weird behaviour with my custom modules that use DevExpress controls which ran perfectly fine in 5.6x  ...

Strongly recommend comprehensive testing for anyone thinking of upgrading to 6.0.0.  This is a MAJOR upgrade - especially if you have any 3'rd party modules - or extensions you have written yourself.

Hi Allan,
Are you using Live Content or Live Tabs? I've seen that error before when an older version of jQuery UI is being loaded on the page by a third-party module.

Thanks for the reply.  I do not have any third-party modules for the DNN site I'm doing my testing on - just some custom developed modules that use DevExpress controls.

The issue happens on every page - even those with just one Text/HTML module on the page.  (i.e. I don't think it's related to the fact that some of the pages have modules that contain DevExpress controls)

Are you using a custom skin? If so, can you see if still happens when using the default dnn skin? I'm assuming you are using the default menu provider, but if you are using a custom menu that could be the problem too. Another suggestion would be to make sure you clear your browser cache or try using a different browser to see if the behavior still exists.

I'm getting the same error on a test site I upgraded. I get the error on a page with the DarkKnight skin and containers setup and nothing but HTML modules. I'm continuing to dig around to troubleshoot the problem.

This error message won't be visible to most people. If none of the items under the Manage menu are working, you are probably experiencing this is. You can view the error in Firefox by viewing the Error Console (Ctrl-Shift-J).
