Hi,

I managed to succesfully setup DNN 4.02 with Cassini webserver, as I only have XP home (lacking IIS).
I am very enthousiastic about the Cassini webserver from UltiDev, but I have some small problems remaining that I feel are related to localhost. (Maybe in combination with Cassini ??)

I made my portal accessable remotely (alias to 81.xx.xx.xx:1751) Cassini is not using virtual Dir so I used port 1751, but any port will do.
When accessing my site remotely I could not use the solpart menu or the log-in functions. It kept on redirecting to my intranet IP adress 192.168.1.5:1751 that I used to setup DNN.
I read on this forum to uncheck "Use friendly URLs" and that helped me a lot further. the menu works, I can also use the login menu. The only small problems I have remaining is that after using the login function or after using other modules like Blog where you can comment on some text, you can see it still redirects to 192.168.1.5. After some time I get the "The page can not be displayed message"

I have to refresh the screen in IE and subsequently it can see it, but this is not userfriendly.
It looks like I am not getting logged in because of this but after the refresh I can see that I am logged in.
Also after the refresh I can see that the Blog comment function worked.
So it all works, but I only get the "page cannot be displayed messages'  in between.
Does anyone have any idea how i can resolve this issue ?

Kind Regards,

Otterlo

Update: The reason why I suspect is it a combination of DNN with Cassini is that I tried the same configuration on my office pc, running on IIS and then it works fine. Under Cassini I experience this problem. I have also posted the question on Cassini forum without result yet.
