I had to do some work to install the DNN on a live website, now I have it ready and hence can show you what I need.

http://208.106.130.85/Home.aspx

You will see the blog module on the right pane. I want when someone click on the heading of the news the content to opens in the center but on another page. Thanks in advance.

Ah, OK, you need to place the Main blog module in the centre and the Recent Entries module on the right. When you click a Recent Entry, that will open up the main Blog entry in the Main Blog module.

If you take a look at the DNN Blog on this site you will get an idea of how the layout works. The page here doesn't use the Recent Entries module but, if it did, it would go on the left pane (but you can use the right or any other pane for that matter).

Hope that helps!

And if you have deleted the various other modules that get installed when you add the Blog module, you can re-add any that you need (eg the Recent Entries modules) by using the Add Blog Module Part at the top of the main Blog module.

Thanks for your response, but forgive my ignorance. I have done what you advised http://208.106.130.85/Home.aspx but this is not what I wanted to achieve. I am interested in doing something like what you see on this website www.alibinali.com/index.asp where you have the latest news at the bottom and when clicked on More info it navigates to another page with the news information.

Thanks

Ah, we've come full circle now!

Notice that when  you click the more info links on that site, you are taken to new pages (.../latest_news1.asp, .../latest_news2.asp) with the whole news story on it.

Well, that is how the Announcements module (the one you were originally using) works.

You create a new page for each news story, then when adding the summary in the Announcement module, you link to that page (see my first post in this thread).
