As everybody knows, dnn 6.0 was released yesterday(7/20/2011).However, when I download the source code edition and install on my local site, it display a error, says there are many dll fies was missed. It  was not a good thing to saw that.

To fix this issue is easy.  As followings:
          1. Download dnn 6 new install package at http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com/releas....
          2. Unzip DotNetNuke_Community_06.00.00_Install.zip package, then copy website/bin folder to your source code site website/bin folder. Overwrite all existing files.

         3. Now your site will running.

Wish dnn team will update the DotNetNuke_Community_06.00.00_Source.zip package to include these missed dll files next time. By the way, dnn 6.0 is great and I like it very much.

please note, source packages have to be compiled in release mode - they contain scripts that will then build the projects and package up their contents ready for installation.

I loaded and built the site and installed via browser without any issue.
Here are my steps to build out in a browser from the Source package:

I downloaded the Community Source package from CodePlex
Unpackaged it into a named directory
Renamed on of the 2 config files in the root to web.config
Permissioned the \Web folder for use in IIS.
I loaded and built the site and installed via browser without any issue.
I did these steps for both VS 2008 and 2010 I had no issues or errors.

This is how we test every Source package we've released since Sept. of 2009.

Based on our tests there is nothing in the DotNetNuke_Community_6.0.0.1969_Source.zip to update

There have been changes to how the Source package builds. If you downloaded the package and checked the \BIN folder and saw only 2 .dll's there after the download this is correct behavior.

It seems I misunderstand the source code package usage. I will try build solution before view site next time.
Thanks.
