My DNN simple upgrade from 5.6.3 to 6 is turning into a nightmare.

1  Already in use and working prefectly version 5.6.3 (full Install)
2  Downloaded Upgrade package 6.0.
3  Following DNN instructions, copied files folder 6.0 over the existing files on 5.6.3.
4  Launched my website and successfully went through the upgrade process.
5  While logged into DNN,  i clicked on Admin>site settings and ERROR!!!
6  Every page in the admin portion of my DNN is now coming up with similar errors
7  Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Jay ~ In case it provides any more information, can you check to see what Log4net information might be associated with this error?  You should find it in the \Portals\_default\Logs directory.

please check your web.config and if debug is set to true, set it to false, there is a known issue in 6.0 where scripts are not loaded (this is resolve in 6.0.1)

There is an error in the DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Controls.LeftMenu.CheckShowPath method. I asume the error is due to the conversion to C# and not tested properly.

Work around:
Take the two files from a 5.6 relese located in the folder admin-Skins LeftMenu.ascx and LeftMenu.ascx.vb and replace the corresponding files in your installation (LeftMenu.ascx and LeftMenu.ascx.cs)

Log the isue in gemini and hope it will be fixed for next release.

(An alternative method could be to rename the skinfile to force DNN to use the default skin and then use an other skin)
