I installed a new DNN6 at 3essentials.com and everything went smoothly. Everything appeared to be working until I added a text module to a page and tried to edit it.

When I select edit text I get an authentication window from the server (this is not a DNN authentication window) if I cancel the window I receive a page not found error. If I enter my database username and password I am allowed to edit all text data for that session.

This feels like my web.config is not configured properly, but I have double check the connections strings (I am only aware of 2) and they are both correct.

Any other places I should be looking or any other thoughts on this issue. By the way 3essentials claims its a DNN 6 problem, because it doesn't happen with any of the DNN 5 builds.

Thanks,

John

most likely, there is windows authentication enabled for your IIS web site, you may want to turn off.

Cheers from Germany,
