Hi!I am making making an e-commerce module for DNN. My question is how can I manage the DNN membership system along with our own customer tables? For example I want to register the customer in our tables when a new member is registering on the site. How would you suggest I do that? Also, on the register page, I might need some additional fields that are required for our customer table, but that are not required for the DNN members, How can I add custom fields and have that on the same register form on the page? Not a very good explanation of what I am trying to do, but hope you can give me some input and tips.

you may create a custom authentication and membership provider, using your own tables instead of aspnet membership. However, you need to create records in DNN user table and user portals.

Hi,

Let me first clear your requirement.
1.You want that when user will register on the dotnetnuke website, then simultaneously that user should get registered in your custom table.

2.You want few extra fields other than those fields which originally exists on registration page.

If your requirement is as mentioned above, then better you can create one custom module with all the fields as per your requirement.
Create one custom stored procedure which will insert/update all the extra fields in your custom table and also use dnn api CreateUser() to create the user in dnn table.

Hopefully everything gets cleared.

Thanks,
