Hi,
I am not in know how to build the source code for the store module but have seen in the database there are three price fields, i was wondering if or how i could change these fields hopefully the unitprice to be calculated field in the database. What i want to achieve is to be able to edit resources for say wieght to be set as exchange rate and in the db use unit price to calculated field to be weight * purchase price. Thus rendering a price out. I have tried changing these fields to be calculated but then when updating a product in the store admin it give a dnn error. Is there anyway around this is the sproc hard coded in the store as i have even tried to change the sproc in the db. If anyone has an idea how i can get this working it would really be appreciated. Thanks

Hi,

Could you specify which version of DNN and the Store module you use, the exact error message returned and what you have modified in which sp?
Nothing is hard coded in the Store module, then it's probably and error in the sp.

Hi i just changed the UnitCost to calculated ProductWeight * PurchasePrice

and then in the sp
Store_Products_UpdateProduct

I remove the @UnitCost money, and UnitCost   = @UnitCost,
I am using latest store 3 version and dnn i got down about 1 week ago so i am assuming its version 5

when going to store admin and editing a product with the above change dnn stay on the product detail page and gives admin error i dont see any codes

Thanks

Hi,

I ask for the error message (not the code) because 99% times the solution is in the message! :-)

In your case, it's probably because you have removed @UnitCost money at the begining of the sp Store_Products_UpdateProduct, DO NOT REMOVE/CHANGE/ADD any params in sp even if you don't use it! If you have to change a param in any sp, then you have to apply the same changes in the code both in the Business Layer and in the Data Layer. Moreover UnitCost = @UnitCost should be replaced by UnitCost = CAST((PurchasePrice * ProductWeight) AS MONEY).

a better way to update the UnitCost is to use: UnitCost = CAST(@PurchasePrice * @Weight) AS MONEY)
