hey i was playing with some option and I added a permanent redirect in the page settings to an external page. Now I cant login or anythign to change it back... I have followed a few suggestions to go into the database and look for it in the URL column of the Tabs database... I did this, but still not working... Can anyone help? I am at a loss...

you'll have to go into the tabs table and set the PermanentRedirect column to 0 (after doing a direct database update you'll have to recycle the website [theres a shortcut for this under the tools menu in the ribbonbar]

thanks, the PermanentRedirect was set to false when I looked, but I had not restarted the site. So I had to restart IIS and then the change took affect.  Thanks for the help, I almost had a stroke whe nI did it. lol

no problem - BTW you usually dont need to restart IIS - the value is cached so clearing the cache is sufficent i.e. host->host settings recycle application or use the shortcut on the tools menu if running dotnetnuke 6.

, ok.. clearing the cache on my browser had not worked... but i would not get into host, host settings, etc... I could not access  ANY page on my site as it redirected me... hah oops... anyways fixed now. thanks
