Hello,
is your IE9 running in compatibility view(i.e basically IE8) - we are aware of some IE8 z-index issues but IE9 works fine (e.g. check this site for one) -note: there are a few z-index issue fixes coming in 6.0.1
As for releases we release a point release every 2 months that is primarily bug fixes and occasional minor enhancements (though occasionally something bigger is included), and we have 2 major releases a year that are primarily feature releases - 6.0 was out last feature release, 6.0.1 (should be out in a week) and then there should be a 6.0.2 sometime in october, followed by a 6.1.0 release towards the end of the year that will have new features. You can always check the roadmap
http://support.dotnetnuke.com/project... to see what is planned for forthcoming releases - please note it will not always list all enhancements (for competitive reasons)
2. Menus in DotNetNuke are referred to as navigation providers as they can provide classic menus, treeview lists and drop-downs - the wiki lists a few alternatives
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/W... -please note you can always use the build in DNNMenuNavigationProvider which was the most popular menu and used for core skins up until the 6.0 release.
3. yes, 6.0 is a full release - the wiki has just not been updated yet (it's a community resource, i expect someone to get to it soon)
4. we dont have a roadmap out at present but at last years conferences we announced our intentions to work on cloud, mobile and social. 6.0 delivered on cloud with azure compatibility and folder provider API's (and azure and amazon s3 versions for pro customers) - shaun has a related blog at
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/B.... We also acquired activemodules and are working on integrating that IP into DotNetNuke (
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/B...). Finally we'll also be looking at mobile and a few other enhancements - hopefully someone from the business team will blog about this soon.
