I have tried more than 10 times to install DNN 6 on a Windows server with the 'Web Matrix Instal' I keep getting the following error within DNN instal wizard when I reach "Configure Database Connection" area. Using SQL Server 2005/2008 (Express) File and leave everything else alone as default.

Connection Error(s):

Index #: 0
Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider
Class: 14

Help would be most appreciated.

please make sure, you have Microsoft SQL Server Express installed, this is not included with web matrix.

that indicates that either you connection credentials are wrong or the database is not set up to accept requests (e.g. a firewall blocking port 1433 or else the database does not support remote connections). The best way to debug these is to remove dotnetnuke from the equation altogether and create a UDL file to test your connection e.g http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/e38h511e(v=vs.71).aspx
